1. Blake Lewis – Once again another stellar performance from Blake. He has yet to disappoint me. And the weird thing is, is that I still haven’t a clue what the hell he is singing. I have yet to actually recognize a song, but yet he continues to fascinate me. Safe
2. Sanjaya Malakar – Another lackluster performance from Sanjaya. That makes three in a row. He hasn’t had a good week yet, but the sympathy votes keep pouring in. At Risk
3. Sundance Head – He’s too sweet, and too nice to be singing a hard song from Pearl Jam. I felt like I was watching a big squeezable teddy bear pretending to be a rocker. It just didn’t work. Safe
4. Chris Richardson – This was my least favorite performance of his from the last three weeks but still compared to the other boys he’s a sure bet for the top 12. Safe
5. Jared Cotter – I don’t know what to say. It just didn’t move me. The first week I picked him for the top 12, now I’m not so sure. He’s been losing steam every week. At Risk
6. Brandon Rogers – Compared to Jared Brandon gave a much more exciting vocal performance. But so far all of his performances have just been mediocre. At Risk
7. Phil Stacey – The first half of the song was terrible and just plain weird. The judges liked the second half but by that time I had just stopped listening. At Risk
8. Chris Sligh – If there wasn’t so many lackluster performances Chris S. would definitely be in the bottom half. But because the guys are so bad this year he’s a shining star. His personality will keep him around a lot longer than his singing. Safe
Who’s Going Home?
This is a tough one I could see Brandon, Jared, Phil or Sanjaya leave this week. I am going to pick Phil and Brandon to go home this week. But to be honest I haven’t a clue. There’s just too many average singers to choose from.
